It's Ok to Listen to Your Books!

Hello Wildcats!

Welcome back, the books missed you! I'm excited to see some new faces this year, and look forward to meeting you all with the year to come. Today's post is about the small collection of audiobooks I have for you in the library. Did you know that listening to your books also helps build your vocabulary? It's also not cheating. In fact, 85% of what we learn is learned by listening and 27% of students are auditory learners (Herman, 2016).  I listen to books all the time (sometimes more than one book!)

I've borrowed audiobooks from another library and have a wide variety for you to enjoy. Want to read the book too?  Of course you can! As always, feel free to ask me for any of your reading (or listening) needs. You can find our audiobooks right next to the library lab and picture books.

I've been working in the world of libraries for about ten years now, and still work part time at two public libraries.  I graduated from University of Rhode Island with my Masters In Library and Information Science in 2016. I'm elated to be your Librarian at Windham Middle School!
